Drunk, unlicensed Lexus driver and Audi crash on the Vilnius–Panevėžys road
On Thursday, 5 May 2022, in the evening at 17:09, in Širvintų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 36.70), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Lexus and an Audi Q5. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Lexus, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.21‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
