On Tuesday, 24 January 2023, in the evening at around 19:00, in Vilniaus city municipality, on S. Nėries g. near No. 101, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 D and a BMW 330 XD. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the BMW 525 D (2 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
