On Monday, 25 September 2023, in the evening at around 17:00, in Varėnos district municipality, Valkininkų town, on Krantinės street near No. 5, an e-scooter hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 3-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of an e-scooter, who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties.
