On Thursday, 5 October 2023, in the evening at 17:25, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 7.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a MAN TGA 18.440 4X2 BLS registered in Russia, a Krone SDP27 registered in Russia and a Volkswagen LT 35. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the MAN (40 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
