On Sunday, 24 December 2023, in the morning at around 8:00, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Kėdainiai–Šėta–Ukmergė national road, a BMW 525 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
