On Friday, 12 January 2024, in the morning at 9:45, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 6.70), a Scania hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Scania (18 years of driving experience), who violated cargo-transport rules. He fled the scene.
