Volkswagen driver flees after hitting a pedestrian at Laisvės and Geležinkeliečių streets, Pasvalys
On Friday, 31 January 2025, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Pasvalio district municipality, on Laisvės street, at the junction with Geležinkeliečių street, a Volkswagen Passat hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 14-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet.
