DAF truck rolls over on the Klaipėda–Liepoja road
On Friday, 7 March 2025, in the afternoon at 12:35, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 10), a DAF rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 62-year-old driver of the DAF (35 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
