On Sunday, 25 May 2025, in the morning at around 10:00, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on the Pirčiupiai–Eišiškės national road (kilometre 20.60), a collision with a bicycle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and a bicycle. One person was injured — a 42-year-old cyclist (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (7 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. A 42-year-old cyclist was drunk (0.85‰).
