E-scooter crash on the Šilutė–Rusnė road
On Tuesday, 22 July 2025, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Šilutės district municipality, on the Šilutė–Rusnė national road (kilometre 2), a traffic accident occurred. The accident involved a e-scooter. Two people were injured — the 16-year-old driver of a e-scooter (treated as an outpatient) and an 15-year-old other (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of a e-scooter, who violated passenger-transport rules. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
