Toyota Yaris hits a pedestrian at a crossing on the Šiauliai–Palanga road
On Monday, 20 October 2025, in the evening at 19:06, in Kretingos district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 135.95), a Toyota Yaris hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 18-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Toyota (20 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
