On Friday, 7 November 2025, at night at 4:07, in Telšių district municipality, on the Telšiai–Seda national road (kilometre 15.45), a Ford Focus hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Ford (16 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.71‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
