On Friday, 6 June 2014, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kauno district municipality, Vijūkų village, on Aluonos street, at the junction with Užgirėlio street, a collision occurred. The collision involved a Honda Civic 1300 Hatchback and a Volkswagen Sharan. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Honda (25 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet.
