Drunk BMW driver hits a parked Citroen on the Molėtai–Anykščiai road
On Friday, 27 June 2014, at night at 23:11, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Molėtai–Anykščiai national road (kilometre 42), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530 D and a Citroen C3. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the BMW (3 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.82‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
