Unlicensed BMW driver hits a pedestrian in Rudaminos village
On Tuesday, 9 December 2014, in the evening at 17:30, in Vilniaus district municipality, Rudaminos village, a BMW 530 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
