Scania R420 truck crash on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda road
On Tuesday, 24 February 2015, in the morning at 6:30, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 27.28), a collision with barriers occurred. The accident involved a Scania R420. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 59-year-old driver of the Scania (a citizen of Kazakhstan) (27 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
