On Saturday, 8 July 2017, in the afternoon at 16:45, in Šilalės district municipality, Dungeriukų village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 224.06), a Mercedes-Benz ML 350 Bluetec 4MATIC ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (10 years of driving experience). The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet.
