On Monday, 4 December 2017, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Plungės district municipality, Varkalių village, on Žemaičių street near No. 7, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Neoplan N 4007 and an Opel Vectra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the Neoplan (30 years of driving experience). He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
