Ford C-MAX and three other vehicles crash on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda road
On Wednesday, 2 May 2018, in the morning at 10:18, in Kauno district municipality, Kumpių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 104.60), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Ford C-MAX, a Scania R 114 LA, a Fliegl SDS 350, a Renault Midlum 220.18, a Schmitz SKO 24/L and a MAN TGX 18.440. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Ford (11 years of driving experience), who violated traffic rules on motorways. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
