On Tuesday, 15 January 2019, in the morning at around 9:00, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr., at the junction with J. Basanavičiaus al., a Volkswagen Touran hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (13 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober.
