BMW 528i rolls over on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda road
On Thursday, 10 September 2020, at night at 4:15, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 107), a BMW 528i rolled over. One person was injured — a 19-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
