On Friday, 11 December 2020, in the afternoon at 14:49, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Varėna–Gardinas main road (kilometre 20.73), a falling cargo occurred. The accident involved an Audi A6 Avant, a KEL- Berg and an Iveco. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 66-year-old driver of the Iveco (42 years of driving experience), who violated cargo-transport rules. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
