Scania driver hits a parked DAF truck and flees on the Vilnius–Minskas road
On Saturday, 12 December 2020, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Vilnius–Minskas main road (kilometre 33.99), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Scania registered in Belarus and a DAF FT XF105.460 registered in Russia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Scania (25 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
