On Tuesday, 20 July 2021, in the afternoon at 16:06, in Marijampolės municipality, Bitikų village, on Tilto street, at the junction with Suvalkijos street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320D and a Jeep Grand Cherokee. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
