BMW runs off the road on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda road
On Sunday, 2 January 2022, in the evening at 19:42, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 108.20), a BMW 7ER Reihe ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the BMW (24 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
