On Saturday, 6 April 2024, in the evening at 21:01, in Vilniaus district municipality, Naujųjų Piktakonių village, on Piligrimų street near No. 23, an Opel Astra Station Wagon ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Opel (27 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
