Volvo FH truck hits an obstacle on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai road
On Thursday, 28 August 2025, in the evening at 18:48, in Kauno district municipality, Butkūnų village, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai main road (kilometre 74), a Volvo FH registered in Poland hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Volvo (30 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. The Volvo had recorded faults (padangų). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
