Drunk driver's BMW X3 rolls over on the Panevėžio aplinkkelis road
On Saturday, 20 September 2025, at night at 2:21, in Panevėžio district municipality, Nausodės village, on Panevėžio bypass, a BMW X3 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the BMW (23 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.67‰ blood alcohol). A 42-year-old passenger of the BMW was drunk (2.22‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
