Scania truck and two other cars crash on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė road
On Wednesday, 26 November 2025, in the morning at around 10:00, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 52.30), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Scania, a Toyota RAV4, a Schmitz Cargobull and a Volvo XC70. One person was injured — the 41-year-old driver of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Scania (25 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
