On Sunday, 14 October 2018, in the evening at around 19:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 6.25), a Volvo S60 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Volvo (22 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober.
