On Tuesday, 13 November 2018, in the evening at 22:19, in Radviliškio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai main road (kilometre 60.30), a Mercedes-Benz C 220 CDI hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (29 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
