On Saturday, 15 June 2019, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 5.20), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Ford F150 and a Ford S-MAX. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Ford F150 (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
