On Tuesday, 28 September 2021, in the evening at 17:25, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 5.17), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A3, a Ford Galaxy, a Mercedes-Benz E 320 CDI AUT., a Renault and a Skoda Octavia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Audi (3 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
