DAF truck hits an obstacle on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda road
On Friday, 4 June 2021, in the afternoon at 15:50, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 109), a DAF hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the DAF (32 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
